Carla Baldieri

Carla Baldieri was born in the beautiful city of Rome. At a young age, she began cooking under the guidance of her mother, Italia Nicoletti, and grandmother, Maria Santelli. She moved to Los Angeles in 1976 with her family, where she continued to improve her culinary skills and master the family recipes. When her family opened their first restaurant, Rugantino, she took the opportunity to join her mother as a cook. For over 20 years, Carla has been working in the Italian restaurant business and has practiced as a chef to some of Hollywood's biggest names including Simon Cowell and Mariah Carey. She is a passionate cook, bringing her dedication and fresh, traditional farm-to-table recipes to homes throughout Los Angeles. Her meals are, as she often states, “just like mama used to make it.”
